The song’s crossover strength continues as well, as it adds a sixth week atop the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. Langley’s much-anticipated sophomore album, Dandelion, arrived April 10.
With 20 weeks at the summit, “Choosin’ Texas” ties for the ninth-longest command since Hot Country Songs became the genre’s main songs ranking in 1958. The run also cements its place further among the biggest hits by women: only Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s record 50-week No. 1 “Meant To Be” and Gabby Barrett’s “I Hope” (27 weeks) have lasted longer in the lead, placing Langley’s hit third all-time among female-led titles.
