Since our first report, we've managed to learn a few extra details from the latest issue of Famitsu. Rogue Galaxy features cell shaded visuals, which shouldn't be a surprise, given Level 5's previous work. From what we've heard, the game looks better than Dragon Quest VIII, one of the best looking cell shaded games on the PS2.
Level 5 president and rising development superstar Akihiro Hino is serving as director on the title. A Japanese release is planned for December of this year, adding to an already strong PS2 RPG lineup.
Famitsu will have a full report on Rogue Galaxy in its 8/29 issue (set for release on 8/5). It's possible that Sony will give us a look at the game at its PlayStation Meeting press conference tomorrow, so be sure and check back with us.
