Accies advanced into the third round of the Ramsden's Cup after a disappointing match at New Douglas Park. With 6 changes to the team from Saturday, Accies took their time to settle and the visitors made them work hard. Ultimately, the game was settled by a disputed penalty when Dougie Imrie was tripped inside the area and James Chambers confidently drove home from the spot. Matt Paterson (left) made his debut after joining from Southend.
Paterson signed and cleared
Accies have this morning snapped up Scottish striker Matt Paterson, 21, from Southend United on a short term deal till 1st January, in what reflects a 'loan'. Dunfermline-born Matt's family come from East Kilbride, but the player was brought up in England and came through the youth set up at Bournemouth and Southampton, playing for Saints, then Stockport and Southend. He was capped twice by Scotland u19s in the 2008 UEFA u19 Championships. FIFA Clearance came in shortly after 11.30am on Tuesday and he is added to the squad for tonight's game v Partick Thistle in the Ramsdens Cup.

Season Ticket Prices 2011-12
Hamilton Academical have introduced an unique season ticket initiative to make attending their games more affordable during these financially difficult times.
For Season 2011/12 Accies supporters will be able to purchase admission for eighteen First Division fixtures for only ÂŁ130. All tickets are at this price. To ensure our young supporters can still attend every adult purchasing a season ticket will also qualify for two free season tickets for children under ten years of age. Please note it is cash and cheque / postal order sales only, there are no credit card sales.
Club Chairman, Ronnie MacDonald commented, “I hope this approach to affordable pricing will allow more people to come along and be part of their local community club. I am fully aware of the difficulties facing many of our supporters and I have tried to break the upward price spiral which has squeezed so many and prevented them from coming along to New Douglas Park. An enthusiastic support is essential to encourage our new generation of young players in our campaign to return to the Scottish Premier League. As ever we will be sympathetic to any individuals or groups within our area who, even with the reduced price, struggle to afford to attend. I hope this initiative will result in more local people being actively involved in their club”.
The pay at the gate prices for home league games are Adults £16, under 18s and over 65s £8. Season tickets can be purchased now from the ticket office at NDP. Season tickets are valid for home league fixtures only. The ticket office can be contacted on 01698 368650 and is open Monday - Friday 930am - 5pm.
