In recent years, mobile devices are ubiquitous. They are employed for purposes beyond merely making phone calls. Among the mobile operating systems, Android is the most popular due to its availability as an open source operating system. Due to the proliferation of Android malwares, it is crucial to study the best classifiers that can detect these malwares effectively and accurately through selecting the most suitable network traffic features as well as comprehensive comparison with related works. This study evaluates five machine learning classifiers, namely Naïve Bayes, k-nearest neighbour, decision tree, multi-layer perceptron, and support vector machine. The evaluation was validated using malware data samples from the Android Malware Genome Project. The data sample is a collection of malwares gathered between August 2010 and October 2011 by the University of North Carolina. Among various network traffic characteristics, three network features were selected: connection duration, TCP size and number of GET/POST parameters. From the experiment, it is found that knearest neighbour provides the optimum results in terms of performance among the classifiers. The experimental results also indicate a true positive rate as high as 99.94% and false positive of 0.06% for the knearest neighbour classifier.

A comprehensive look at the different aspects of Beijing's ADIZ in the East-China Sea, including the motivations behind the move, the reaction by different countries (including Taiwan and Russia), the origins and evolution of ADIZs in international law, and the underlying conflicts between China and other nations. The paper also provides an overview of ADIZs in international law, indluding their origins and evolution. The connections between EEZs and ADIZs are also noted, together with Chinese perspectives on International Law.

Japan faces Chinese military operations against the Senkaku Islands, which Beijing claims under the name Diaoyu. However, China has been mainly using paramilitary and coastguard units, while civilians (fishermen and activists) have also been key actors in her strategy. As a result, Japans' Self-Defense Forces need to develop a wide range of capabilities, so that they can react to different contingencies, from an invasion by a traditional military force to one by unarmed activists, including the different combinations in between. Therefore, by analogy with the USMC's 'Three-Block Doctrine', we may talk about the 'Three-Island Doctrine', and just like the USMC is building a police capability, so should Japan's SDF.

At various points in its career, the Indian state has deployed technologies to govern the nation. Recently the state has undertaken a number of large scale projects to install digital technology. The most controversial of these is the Unique Identity Project, which is registering the biometric, along with demographic, information of the residents. In this paper, I will try to understand what is politically at stake in this technological intervention. I would like to explore the political logics of biometric system and its consequences. I will argue that UID re-imagines the economy and the state-citizen relationship as a series of transactions. Theoretically, the main thrust of this paper is to understand the “general economy of power”, as Michel Foucault calls it, which is unfolding in India around the issues of capitalist growth, inequality, social protection, and terrorism—and UID explores the technological possibility of the great convergence of these concerns.
