This paper is concerned with SMEs in developing economies. The principle topic focuses on the development as well as financing for micro, small and medium enterprises in Poland - one of the fastest growing EU economies and the 9th largest country in Europe. The issue of growth and development perspectives of small businesses, their role in growth creation in Poland, as well as the access to financial resources are discussed. Special emphasis is put on direct funding to SMEs and their access to bank loans. Moreover, macro- and microeconomic determinants influencing the development of SMEs, influence of the recent financial crisis on the growth of enterprises as well as factors conditioning business activity in Poland are taken into consideration. Poland is seeing positive rates of development despite the economic downturn and its high level of competitiveness, strong economic fundamentals and high flexibility will allow to benefit from the global recovery over the next few years.

"This study explores the value and impact that small and medium-
sized enterprises (SMEs) derive from winning business awards.
Value and impact are explored in terms of enhanced profitability and performance, network development, enterprise profile and brand identity. This study employs a case study methodology with 10 SMEs drawn from a major business awards competition. Key staff were interviewed in these SMEs to explore the impact of winning the business award on the internal and external business environments. Additional organizational documentation and evidence were also collected from each SME. The results
indicate both short-term and long-term impacts. In the short term, enterprises benefited in terms of enhanced brand identity in their business network and community. This resulted in enhanced sales revenue and enterprise profile. Moreover, internally, winning an award acted as a motivator for enterprise employees, enhancing their productivity and attitudes towards the business. In the longer term, these factors became less apparent, but the majority of respondents continued to exploit their business award for ongoing strategic advantage."

"This manual aims to help you sell your excursion(s) to UK tour operators. It is organised in 5 sections, which explain the necessary stages you need to go through to be market ready.

The most important thing is to start with designing an excursion that will appeal to the holidaymakers that visit your destination. Stage 1 provides information about the main factors that affect the design of your excursion. It enables you to also understand how different tour operators are looking for different experiences.

Equally important is Health & Safety, your excursion must meet certain hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards to be sold to UK tourists by UK tour operators. In Stage 2 you will find examples of risks you need to consider. You will also learn that some tourists and tour operators have much higher standards than others.

Stage 3 focuses on pricing. There is no point in selling an excursion that is not profitable enough for you to earn a living or too expensive for tourists to afford. You will learn about calculating prices and commission fees paid to ground handlers and tour operators when they sell your excursion. It is essential to ensure that your price is competitive when compared to similar other experiences.

After these three stages, you are now ready to start working with tour operators. Stage 4 explains how this happens, providing you with a list of information and documents you need to have to ensure you are successful in attracting a ground handler’s or tour operator’s interest, to be invited to your first meeting.

Stage 5 (the last stage), deals with what happens after your meeting, explaining that tour operators and ground handlers will take some time to ensure they are confident that they can work with you on a long term basis. You will learn how to show that you can deliver what they want: a quality product in a professional manner.

This study profiles an empirical study of E-Commerce trading patterns of SMEs in Wales.  Academic debate continues to espouse the importance of the SME community in engendering economic prosperity and enhanced economic development although the sector also remains categorised by high failure rates. The strategic adoption of information technology offers the opportunity for increased competitiveness and enhanced profitability. Evidence suggests, however, that SMEs, particularly the smaller SME classifications, are not effectively exploiting E-business, with limited recorded examples of successful adoption.  Within this study, E-Commerce trading practices are therefore contrasted against traditional non E-Commerce trading activity and conclusions are drawn on the behaviour adopted by SME Owner/Managers. The conclusions will inform Owner/Managers, policy makers, practitioners, researchers and educators involved in E-Commerce deployment in the SME sector.
This paper explores holding companies and controlled foreign companies.

"""Keep the Job You Hate and Become Rich!"

Selling a product or service involves communication and educating the buyer about the value you bring to the transaction. If you have had the experience where someone sees your service as a commodity and does not fully value your knowledge and expertise, then you know that you have work to do to sell yourself, to the buyer.

People can get very complacent about buying and they may think that a transaction with you is like going to the supermarket and getting toothpaste. We can get complacent and think that we don't have to do any marketing; that everyone knows how great our products and services are and that they should just buy them. Of course we would be wrong.

I am giving you my book so that you have a different perspective on doing business. I believe in the future we will all need to learn to market our knowledge and skills. If you have a job now - great! Keep the Job You HAVE...and Become Rich!

I have turned this book into a LIVE case study and you can join the fun and watch what happens as I take this book and turn it into a million dollar business.

You can get access to the live case study journal by using the links in the book and subscribing. Follow along daily as events unfold and the ultimate goal is reached. The target is to sell 100 000 copies and to launch a million dollar business.

Is it possible? Will it really happen and would you like to see what it takes to start a million dollar business, from home?
