“Nothing ever built arose to touch the skies unless some man dream that it should, some man believe that it could, and some man willed that it must” . It is on the basis of affirming the above position that make it a vital point for me to start this paper by calling your attention to the fact that I am also contributing to an issue which has been ranging for a long time, and to which thousands of Nigerians all over the world have stated their different opinions. It is very crucial for me to draw your attention to the fact that I will definitely not be the last person to address this issue if the People’s Constitution still remain a dream in Nigeria. Hence I’m very sure and certain that my opinion will play one or two role for the purpose of achieving the People’s Constitution. The paper examines what is meant by the term “Constitution” as given by highly revered Scholars, Authors and Writers which even further to examine the Nigerian Constitution through Pre-Independence Constitution, Independence Constitution and Post Independence Constitution of Nigeria which later end-up highlighting and suggesting way forward towards the People’s Constitution in Nigeria.
