Menurut Aviation Online Magazine, Pesawat menghasilkan jenis emisi yang sama seperti mobil Emisi mesin pesawat secara kasar terdiri dari sekitar 70 persen CO2, kurang lebih 30 persen H2O, dan kurang dari 1 persen yaitu NOx, CO, SOx, VOC, partikulat, dan komponen polutan lainnya termasuk HAPS.

This paper is meant to evaluate and asses the lubrication oils used in 2 stroke engine applications. Several oil samples shall be tested out and evaluated throughout the thesis, measuring the lubricants performances concerning pollutant gases, fuel consumption and running temperatures. Also, the influence of oil/petrol ratio has been tested out within this paper.
Two-stroke engines are an used in a wide range of applications, thus justifying this study. Such engines can bee found on lawnmowers, trimmers, motorcycles, scooters, and even locomotives and ocean liners, with engine sizes between. 1 and over 96.000 cm3 The reasons for using these engines so oftenly is their simple architecture, the high specific power output, easy maintenance and cheap engine overhauls. Engines that work using a two-stroke cycle have very few parts in movement and present more power than a four-stroke engine would at the same displacement.
Engines working by a two-stroke cycle use an mixture of oil and fuel to form the initial combustion charge, thus providing lubrication to all parts that come in contact with the air-fuel-oil mixture In order to obtain a proper evaluation of different lubricant oils form diferent standard classes, several test have been carried out. The main objective was to determine oil performances by measuring exhaust gas pollutants, running temperature and fuel consumption for each lubricant, on a purpose -built measuring stand featuring a small, single-cylinder two-stroke engine. Throughout this paper the study of the influence of petrol-oil proportions has also been carried out, and measurements in the fuel and lubricants laboratory have been carried out in order to determine some physical properties.
In the second part of this paper results from measurements are shown both numerically and in graphs, in order to obtain a proper, wide and objective view upon these oil’s performances.
Research and progress regarding two-stroke engine lubrication is absolutely justified, as this is the main source of pollutant gases within these engines. A big leap forward in lubrication methods may lead to a great increase of these engine’s popularity, even in the automotive industry.

This article is devoted to the study of the consequences of the military conflict in Eastern Ukraine and the annexation of the Crimea for environmental security. The impact of the conflict tends to occur more gradually, through the destruction of key infrastructure and the breakdown of supply chains. In the case of environmental damage, this has the added effect of diffusing responsibility and accountability. There is an obvious need to develop a strategy of minimizing the environmental impact of the conflict for the whole territory of Ukraine without waiting for the possible ways of resolving the conflict.

Continuous growth in traffic demand has led to a decrease in the air quality in various urban areas. Local authorities in environmental protection and urban planners are therefore interested in performing traffic and air pollution simulations for testing various urban scenarios and raising citizen awareness where necessary. This article is focused on the traffic and air pollution in the eco-neighbourhood “Nancy Grand Cœur”, located in a medium-size city from northeastern France. The main objective of this work is to build an integrated simulation model which would help predicting and visualizing various environmental changes inside the neighbourhood, such as air pollution, traffic flow or meteorological data. Firstly, we build the 3D mesoscopic traffic  simulation model around the central train station of the eco-neighbourhood, using real data sets from the local traffic management centre. Secondly, by using reliable data sets from the local air-quality management centre, we build a regression model for predicting the evolution of NO2 concentrations, as a function of the simulated traffic flow and meteorological data. Lastly, we validate the estimated results by comparisons with the real data sets, with the purpose to support the traffic engineering decision-making and the smart city sustainability.

In the terms of damage caused to the environment, air pollution can be easily characterized as the main culprit .The main sources of air pollution are industries. Therefore, this paper aims at using semi-conductor sensor for detecting the various pollutant gases at the emission outlets which detects the level of pollutants in the industries. Specifically in this paper, gas sensor MQ135 is used. When the pollution/emission level shoots beyond the permissible level, the process/machinery causing the polluted emission is immediately shut down and there will be an alarm (light alarm or buzzer) to indicate that the limit has been reached at a specific emission outlet. Simultaneously, the factory control room will be informed via GSM that the process/ machinery has been shut down and corrective action has to be taken. The execution and synchronization of the entire process is monitored and controlled by a microcontroller (PIC16F877A).

Dipandang ruangan untuk merokok tidak efektif karena ruangan tersebut tidak memberikan perlindungan terhadap perokok pasif. Berbagai rancangan bangun ruang khusus merokok (smooking area) umumnya hanya berfungsi untuk ruang isolasi tanpa dilengkapi dengan penyedot debu yang mampu menyedot atau mengatasi permasalahan asap rokok. Asap rokok merupakan polutan bagi manusia dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Asap rokok mainstream mengandung 4000 jenis bahan kimia berbahaya dalam rokok dengan berbagai mekanisme kerja terhadap tubuh. Dibedakan atas fase partikel dan fase gas. Fase partikel terdiri daripada nikotin, nitrosamine, N nitrosonorktokin, poliskiklik hidrokarbon, logam berat dan karsinogenik amin (Sitepoe, 2000). Sedangkan fase yang dapat menguap atau seperti gas adalah karbonmonoksid, karbondioksid, benzene, amonia, formaldehid,hidrosianida dan lain-lain (Sitepoe, 2000). Kebiasaan merokok di Indonesia sudah membudaya dikalangan masyarakat dan sulit untuk dihilangkan. Maka dari itu diperlukan adanya suatu solusi berupa ruang khusus merokok (smooking area). Untuk itu kami membuat karya tulis ilmiah yang berisi metode yang efektif dan efisien dalam permasalahan asap rokok yang ada pada ruang khusus merokok (smooking area).
Salah satu metode yang bisa digunakan adalah metode akuaponik. Akuaponik adalah sistem pertanian berkelanjutan yang mengkombinasikan akuakultur dan hidroponik dalam lingkungan yang bersifat simbiotik (Rakocy et al., 2006a). Biasanya sistem akuaponik digunakan dalam ruang lingkup pertanian dengan tanaman pertanian. Namun, aquaponik yang kami gunakan adalah tanaman hias antipolutan yang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengurangi kandungan asap rokok. Penggunaan tanaman yang berfungsi sebagai antipolutan untuk mengurangi polutan asap rokok di ruang khusus merokok (smooking area) belum pernah dimanfaatkan untuk ruangan tersebut. Apabila ruang khusus merokok (smooking area) dilengkapi penggunaan akuaponik tanaman antipolutan dalam ruangan tersebut maka pemanfaatan akuaponik dengan tanaman antipolutan merupakan salah satu solusi terbaik untuk mengurangi dampak polutan asap rokok.

The discussion in this chapter begins from a consideration of sources of energy supply and introduces some of the basic problems involved in managing this supply. Global air pollution issues (such as ozone layer depletion and global warming) are then examined and economic policy options for addressing global warming are analyzed. Subsequently, localized, regional and nonglobal transboundary forms of air pollution are the focus of attention. Biophysical relationships involved in air pollution are only outlined to the extent necessary for the economic analysis to be appreciated. Nevertheless, biophysical relationships are of critical importance as a basis for analysis of the economic effects of air pollution and for the assessment of policies to regulate air pollution.

ABSTRAK Dalam kehidupan kita sudah tidak asing lagi dengan istilah pencemaran, pencemaran merupakan masuk atau dimasukkannya mahluk hidup, zat, energi dan/ atau komponen lain ke dalam tanah. Tidak dapat dipungkiri jika saat ini tingkat pencemaran kian meningkat seiring berjalannya kehidupan, pencemaran dapat diakibatkan oleh proses pembuatan bahan baku menjadi bahan jadi, proses pembuatan bahan bakar, dll. Dalam menerapkan prinsip bebas dari pencemaran, cukup banyak penyuluhan dan pencegahan yang telah dilakukan tetapi hasilnya sangat jarang mencapai kata suskes. Terlebih dahulu kita harus mengetahui apa pencemaran tanah, apa yang menyebabkan terjadinya pencemaran tanah, dan bagaimana cara penanggulangannya. Lingkungan yang baik adalah lingkungan yang bebas dari bahan tercemar.

El aire es uno de los componentes fundamentales para mantener la vida del ser humano,
pues entrega elementos esenciales para una amplia gama de funciones de nuestro organismo. La
calidad del aire que respiramos es un factor determinante a la hora de perpetuar nuestras
expectativas y calidad de vida. En los últimos 50 años, luego de la explosión demográfica y las
migraciones campo-ciudad sucedidas en Chile, la calidad del aire se ha visto deteriorada por el
incremento de la actividad humana en las principales urbes de nuestro país, reduciendo la calidad
de vida de la población, y acarreando una serie de costos económicos a nivel social. Este trabajo
busca identificar cuáles son las fuentes del material particulado en Chile, así como estimar el
costo económico en salud para la sociedad chilena de tener aire contaminado. A través de
funciones probabilísticas, se estima el número de casos de mortalidad y morbilidad asociado a
contaminación por material particulado. Dado el exceso de contaminación de las principales
ciudades chilenas -33ug/m3 sobre el promedio OCDE de PM10- es posible estimar una serie de
costos que confluyen en una pérdida anual para el país de US$ 6,39 mil millones.
Los resultados indican que la contaminación aérea por PM10 tiene un considerable efecto
sobre la salud, productividad y calidad de vida de las personas, acarreando consigo significativas
pérdidas económicas. En este sentido, resulta indispensable para la sociedad chilena regular y
fiscalizar las acciones que contribuyen a la contaminación, para así mejorar la calidad de vida de
los chilenos y reducir los costos asociados a ésta.
