Formed in 1996, the Industry Training Federation (ITF) is the national representative body for Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) in New Zealand.
The ITF is the collective voice for the industry training and apprenticeship sector in New Zealand. It advocates for strong skills and employment policies, and systems that ensure that qualifications and training arrangements meet the needs of the workforce and contribute to a skilled and productive New Zealand.
The ITF is a genuinely representative organisation that consults extensively both internally and externally, is research-informed and is proactive. The ITF works closely with a number of key government agencies, education sector groups, and national employer and employee bodies.
