Vance is widely viewed as the heir-apparent to the presidentās MAGA mandate, and heās been pulling double duty during the 2026 midterm cycle, serving as the Republican National Committeeās finance chair and top surrogate. Earlier this week, Vance told Mark Halperin during an interview that he had yet to make a decision on running in 2028.
