Archbishop of Denver Orders Famous American Exorcist to Fast in Public

According to a statement issued by the Archdiocese of Denver, Golka proposed a yearlong “fast” from public speaking and interviews so that the priest could devote more time to his community and the people it serves. Ripperger accepted the request, the archdiocese said, and the two are expected to review the arrangement after a year.

Pope Leo XIV

Pope Leo XIV will not participate in the anniversary of St. John Paul II’s historic World Day of Prayer for Peace in Assisi

The Vatican’s decision does not suggest a setback in his recovery: reflects the prudence required after major surgery, even when clinical results are encouraging. The Pope had been expected to attend the gathering entitled “Disarmed and Disarming Peace,” which will bring together Christian leaders, representatives of other religious traditions and invited guests in the Umbrian town.
