Mission is not a statement of intent. It is a strategic filter for what leaders build, where they invest, and which opportunities they pursue. In Shapers and Founders, Driven by Mission is one of six leadership behaviors identified through direct conversations with 30 of Asia’s extraordinary owner-CEOs. Together, they offer a practical playbook for the leadership behind sustained outperformance, and lessons leaders everywhere can apply. https://mck.co/4yFlDty

It's easy to assume the biggest AI wins come from automating the most work. What's interesting is that the economics often point somewhere else. The strongest value can come from helping highly skilled workers perform higher-value tasks more effectively. It's changing the conversation from how much work AI can automate to where it can create the most value. Explore the AI value curve. https://lnkd.in/eZmV43ri

One of the most important leadership questions isn't what to delegate. Its what not to. As competitive advantage becomes harder to sustain, CEOs play a critical role in making trade-offs, aligning the organization, and turning strategy into action. https://lnkd.in/gwhHrKUP
Strategy at its best is the work of an institution, but there are six roles the CEO cannot delegate without risking the value a strategy can create. Explore the essentials: https://lnkd.in/gwhHrKUP #StrategyAndValue

The US heartland generates more than one-third of GDP but attracts only about 10% of venture capital investment. That gap could represent one of America's largest underrealized growth opportunities, as investors, companies, and communities look to unlock growth in places already operating at scale. https://mck.co/4jXkQ2B

Most B2B companies have adopted AI. The leaders are using it to rethink how sales work gets done. Instead of optimizing individual tasks, they're rewiring commercial journeys end to end, helping sales teams identify better opportunities, make smarter decisions, and create more value for customers. https://mck.co/3TVr091

New Yorkers are placing a higher priority on healthy longevity than the rest of the country, with millennials and Gen X leading the way. The interesting signal is not just who is focused on healthy longevity, but when. More consumers are taking action years before aging becomes an immediate concern, reshaping demand across wellness, healthcare, nutrition, and fitness. https://mck.co/4yUhF0u

There's a growing recognition among CFOs that liquidity isn't just a financing question. In many organizations, meaningful amounts of cash are already sitting on the balance sheet, tied up in operational decisions made across the business. Unlocking that cash can create room to invest, strengthen resilience, and pursue growth opportunities without waiting for external capital. https://mck.co/4yKdJzb

Global Materials Perspective 2026 is here, examining record returns, shifting value pools and the forces reshaping the metals and mining industry. On the surface, 2025 was a strong year for the sector, with market capitalization reaching a record $3.7 trillion and margins near decade highs. But the underlying picture was more mixed: revenue growth was just 1%, labor productivity was flat, and capital productivity declined. As geopolitical pressures, changing demand patterns, and new technologies reshape the industry, leaders are rethinking how to sustain performance and compete for value in the years ahead. https://mck.co/47SHqlL

Behind every tiny piece of food art in a Michelin-starred restaurant is incredible talent making it happen. I was one of those people. Before joining McKinsey, I plated dozens of made-to-order desserts in the kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Small tasks such as piping each garnish with exact consistency or ensuring every plated dessert was finished with the same precision were at first somewhat jarring. But, as my time as a chef continued, I understood that by holding myself to a high standard for the little things, the bigger things, like creating a new dish on the fly, got that much easier.
